Tomatoes 101 at Topsoil Kitchen and Market
Learn to grow beautiful tomatoes in your home garden. Sarah DuBose of Sassafrass Flower Farm and Reedy River Farm and Wendy Lynam of Topsoil Kitchen and Market will walk you through the steps of growing healthy, delicious tomatoes at home.
We will begin with the basics of starting tomatoes from seed and cover the following topics:
Proper planting techniques
Supporting the plants
Pruning
Pest Control
Watering
Harvesting
Cloning for a second planting
Guests will have hands on experience planting tomato seeds and leave with a container planted and ready for the Summer growing season. Join us for this fun evening of learning all about growing tomatoes!
