The TR Town & Art Crawl is a grassroots event series highlighting the southern charm of Travelers Rest and bringing together our local business and arts community. Always the 2nd Friday of the month during our Spring Series, April through June, and Fall Series, September through November, we will meet on Main Street in downtown Travelers Rest from 6p-9p. We’ll have local artists, live music performed at The Grove at Upcountry and a Kids Crawl area with art activities and games just for them. Throughout the season, you’ll have an opportunity to vote for a couple of Town’s Best competitions like our Town’s Best Ice Cream and Town’s Best BBQ. Each event will feature various highlights, stay tuned as we announce our details for the upcoming year. November 9th Crawl Happenings
It’s time to celebrate with music in the streets, a World Record attempt and Town’s Best BBQ! Mark your calendar and join us on Main Street in downtown Travelers Rest, SC from 6p-9p for live music, food, friends and more. Details on all our Crawl happening are below. BE A PART OF THE WORLD RECORD! – We are kicking off the Crawl Friday night with a world record attempt for the most participants in a group instrument making lesson. You can come be a part of this record setting attempt as we all make a harmonicas and learn about the significance of this folk instrument in Piedmont blues music. Participation is free, but does require arriving between 5:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m., standing and a time commitment. (Please note the activity is appropriate for ages 10 and up.) World Record participants must register by Friday, November 9, at 12:00 noon. Click here to register yourself or your group!
TOWN’S BEST BBQ – The 2nd Annual Town’s Best BBQ tasting and voting takes place at the Crawl between 6p and 8:30p or till the BBQ is all gone. Tasting forks cost $2.00 and the public will determine the winner by voting on their choice for best BBQ. In the competition this year is Monkey Wrench Smokehouse, Shortfields, Farmhouse Tacos, Hare & Field, Moe & Joe’s BBQ, Chef Jenna Stone and Pit Master Jeff Nadolny. With seven choices in this competition, we hope you come hungry to vote! Winner will be announced at 8:45p. Find the Town’s Best BBQ tent on the street down by TR Makers Co and the White Rabbit Gallery.

Clues for the location of these rocks will be available when you pick up your Crawl Card or if you visit our Facebook page after 5p on Friday night. Artist & Makers
The TR Town & Art Crawl is a juried event series. All items presented and sold must be handcrafted by the artist applying or classified as vintage (20+ years old). We accept work in the following categories: Apparel, Artisanal Foods, Bath & Beauty, Home, Jewelry, Leather Crafts, Original Artwork, Papercrafts, Photography, Pottery and Vintage. Booth space is $30 per event and applications for a particular event may close if no more booth space is available. Click here to find the online Artist Application.
