Yes. You heard right: Travelers Rest.
We think it’s a pretty great name for a pretty great town that’s growing, happenin’ and just in general becoming more famous for its best-of-both-worlds kind of living.
Hi! I’m Lacey and I am a writer and a blogger, a mother and a homeschool teacher. I helped create Meadowlark Collective here in TR.
When I moved to Travelers Rest fifteen years ago I first researched the town online to get a feel for the community. And now, coming full circle, as a local and a huge fan of this little town at the foot of the mountains, I have the incredible privilege of managing the experience others see online. (I feel so fortunate to love my job!)
I also write about parenting and faith, struggle and grace at SoEveryDay.com. Over there you can read about my adventures with my half dozen children (and three grandchildren!) and about my love of travel and my affection for beautiful literature and other late night ramblings.
Emma works remotely for Travelers Rest Here and her work reminds us that we are so thankful for the internet’s ability to bring far away things close. (And I am thankful for a lifelong friendship with Emma too!)
Who can truly blame her for moving to Oregon for her husband’s job opportunity? It’s so lovely there too!
Emma and her husband and their three sons have taken up the hobbies of cross country skiing and snowshoeing and mountain climbing. Emma spends a fair amount of time cheering on her boys at their various sports, but we’re glad she makes time for her many creative talents, including photography and graphic design.

Jane is a professional photographer specializing in storytelling photography.
(She’s also a fabulous human and I never would have taken the risk of owning TRH without her encouragement and belief in me!)
In her own life, Jane’s story includes two dogs and a husband, a camera and an obsession with coffee and chocolate and running and maybe ice cream too. Jane and her husband Walter have been living in Travelers Rest for more than seventeen years and they’ve been walking TR’s trails for about that long too, usually with a dog or two for company. Their pets seem to somehow find them, but Jane doesn’t really mind that.

Jane also serves our community through her board membership at the TR Farmers Market.
West is a web designer and developer and loves to bring his creativity to the web.
He is also patient and long suffering because I never recall my passwords and forget ho with back end of any website works. Without his website guru abilities, I would be lost!
West and his wife Faith and their children love to play outside and to go to the park. West is pretty sure the perfect way to spend an evening is to have a craft beer and listen to some music. And, when pressed, that beer would be from Osker Blues and the music would be played by Mandolin Orange. When he’s not working you can probably find him playing his guitar or mandolin.
