A summer night in South Carolina and beautiful music.
That’s a winning combination.
Friday night at 7 pm on July 20, a concert is being held in Travelers Rest on the lawn of a picturesque old farm on Tigerville Road.
A charming music duo, Out of the Dust, will be bringing their unique story and music to TR.
Out of the Dust is a husband and wife musical team from Nashville. Their story is a story of redemption and of hope. Chris and Stephanie were married for several years before addiction ended their young marriage. After divorcing, Chris spiraled to rock bottom. As he began to seek counseling he was drawn to reconciliation with his former wife. The pair eventually remarried. They currently travel the country sharing their music and their story. You can read more about the details of their story here on their website.
The concert in TR is a free show, although donations to further their touring will be accepted at the event.
Bring your friends and your family out on Friday night at 7 pm. (Your children ten and older are welcome to attend with you.)
The venue is a charming century old farmhouse located at 2704 Tigerville Road known as Moss Oak Farmhouse. Perhaps you’ve driven by as the remodeling on this beauty of a home has been taking place. (Our own Town Guide members – Carolina Floor Crafters – handled the restoration process on the gorgeous original hardwood floors.)
Refreshments will be available for the evening. Arrive at 7 to enjoy the desserts and drinks before the concert begins. (Thanks to The Gafken Group at Palmetto Mortgage, Chick-fil-A, Nate’s Pizza and Highsmith and Highsmith for sponsoring this event and providing the refreshments for the concert goers.) Local florist Quinn Dyer will be creating floral arrangements.
Be sure to bring your lawn chairs or a quilt to sit on the lawn in front of the barn.
Reserve your tickets through this link – the concert is free but seating is limited.
We can’t wait to see you at the concert.
