Artober: Under the Lights This Friday Night

Lights. Art. Pizza.

That’s how it goes, right?

Well, it may not be how the phrase goes, but it IS how Friday night will go.

Artober, in its fifth year, will be taking place on Friday, October 11 at The Grove at Upcountry Provisions from 5 to 9.

What is Artober?

Artober is a family friendly celebration of arts and crafts, of good food (like wood-fired pizza fresh from the outdoor brick oven!) and of music.

It’s totally FREE.  (You can buy pizza or drinks – and of course, you’ll want to buy art – but there’s no entrance fee!)

“The idea actually originated from one of our employees,” Upcountry Provisions owner Cheryl Krause shares. The first year the event was held at Trailblazer Park, but over the years it has evolved and morphed and now its home is at The Grove.  “We call this her legacy project,” Cheryl says.

The event also includes an Art Auction, with the proceeds going to the Shriner’s Hospital in Greenville.

The art and the vendors and the crafters are varied. You might see a glass blower or watch an artist sculpting.  Each year the event attracts a wide variety of artisans.

You might even hear the event before you see it.  Two bands will be performing and that makes the perfect back drop for perusing art and enjoying pizza and drinks with your friends.

October 11 is also the TR Town & Art Crawl, so you can include a stroll into The Grove while you enjoy the crawl too.

Friday night. Downtown TR. October 11. It’s where you want to be.
